Current-build item foundation
The Build 22928553 audit extracted 222 GenericItem records covering crafting resources, upgrade materials, cooking ingredients, keys, and quest items. The searchable Materials database exposes those current English names, categories, descriptions, and identifying icons.
Special currencies such as the seven-Ember item-modification family use other data classes and are covered separately in Embers. The database count is therefore a transparent scope, not a claim that the game contains only 222 non-equipment items.
The useful crafting loop
- Research or obtain a base whose moveset or armor role is already proven.
- Craft or find versions until the facet tradeoff fits the build.
- Upgrade only far enough to test the base in current content.
- Apply enchantments and gems with the live preview open.
- Save deep rerolling and Exalting for a final candidate.
This workflow makes common gear valuable: a clean base can be shaped deliberately, while a rare item with a bad facet or unusable moveset remains a bad investment.
Materials are not all farmed the same way
The current database groups records by localization family—crafting materials, upgrade materials, cooking ingredients, keys and quest items. That helps identify intended use, but it does not prove source. Enemy parts, gathered plants, mined resources, recipes, Pestilence materials, and one-time quest items require different routes.
Use Torn Sinew for a patch-labeled Pestilence resource, Dire Nettle Spores for the Roots That Bind progression item, and Western Bridge Key for a route-sensitive key.
Inventory discipline
- Do not sell an unfamiliar Ember or quest item because an old guide calls it useless.
- Keep one stack of low-tier common resources until town projects and research needs are known.
- Store build projects by base and purpose, not simply by rarity color.
- Mark which materials are renewable before spending the last copy.
- In a shared Realm, agree who is saving project resources and who is crafting gear.
Shared loot makes accidental use more expensive in co-op. The Co-op Loot & Trading guide explains how to keep ownership and handoffs explicit.
Early Access boundary
Together expanded crafting, Embers, facets, Scribe Table research, refineries, bows, quivers, and other item systems. The same named item can therefore have a different purpose from a 2024 guide. Current in-game description and operation preview take priority.
The 1.0 progression redesign may change recipes and sources. Stable URLs will remain, but every practical route and cost will be re-verified rather than silently carried forward.
