This policy explains how No Rest for the Wicked Wiki selects sources, verifies claims, publishes updates, and corrects errors. The site is independent and does not claim affiliation with Moon Studios.
Editorial responsibility
Public pages use the shared byline No Rest for the Wicked Wiki Editorial Team. The same team performs the current review because the project does not yet have separate named author and fact-checking desks. Pages state this directly instead of inventing individual contributors or credentials.
Source priority
Sources are evaluated in this order:
- Official patch notes, announcements, store pages, developer posts, and official media.
- Reproducible evidence from the current 1.0 game version, including original screenshots or recorded tests.
- Reliable English wikis, specialist guides, and community reports, cross-checked against independent current-version evidence.
Search results, analytics data, retailer placeholders, datamined claims, isolated posts, and Early Access guides cannot independently verify gameplay facts.
Version and evidence rules
Prelaunch pages may publish official 1.0 information and clearly labeled unknowns. Builds, bosses, item sources, quest steps, routes, mechanics, drop information, and exact values remain unpublished until the 1.0 version can be checked.
Gameplay guides require at least two independent current-version sources. High-risk recommendations or disputed claims require additional corroboration. If sources conflict, the claim stays out of the live guide until the conflict is resolved.
Writing and AI assistance
Automation and AI tools may help organize sources, check structure, detect duplication, and prepare drafts. They do not replace source verification or editorial review. The site does not copy third-party guide text, and generated claims are never treated as evidence.
Updates and freshness
Every live content page records a version scope, publication date, last verified date, source list, and update triggers. A relevant official announcement returns affected pages to review. Patch-sensitive pages are updated or restricted when their evidence is no longer current.
Corrections
Readers can report a correction. Confirmed errors are corrected in the source page, the verification date is updated, and affected related pages are checked. Material uncertainty may be labeled or removed while review is in progress.
Independence and commercial policy
No Rest for the Wicked Wiki is an independent fan project. Advertising may be considered only after the site meets its internal content, trust, traffic, and page-experience thresholds. Advertising will not change source standards or place promotions before the main answer.
