The current Ember family

Together expanded Embers from a familiar endgame item into a seven-item modification family: Fallen, Awakening, Corrupting, Void, Essence, Radiant, and Sublime Embers. Their operation is powerful and sometimes irreversible, so the live target preview is the final authority.

The Build 22928553 Fallen Ember description is explicit: it can add enchantments to items or alter existing enchantments, and ancient Cerim used the stones in rebirth rituals. Current respec reporting also shows one Fallen Ember refunding up to ten points at the Iron Corpus. The old description “only a Crucible entry token” is no longer safe advice.

What each type is for

  • Fallen Ember: add or alter enchantments; also tied to the current respec/rebirth system.
  • Awakening Ember: current references use it to turn an eligible Common weapon or armor piece into Magical rarity.
  • Corrupting Ember: current references use it to turn an eligible Common base into Plagued rarity with the relevant upside/downside structure.
  • Void Ember: returns eligible modified gear toward a Common base, destroying a valuable result if used carelessly.
  • Essence Ember: used in targeted enchantment-transfer workflows, subject to item and rarity restrictions shown in the preview.
  • Radiant Ember: raises enchantment values toward their current limit.
  • Sublime Ember: provides an Exalting path for eligible gear.

These summaries tell you which operation to open. They do not replace the current menu restrictions, costs, or preview.

Safe order of operations

  1. Keep a spare base.
  2. Prove the moveset or armor role.
  3. Keep only a facet whose downside the build can afford.
  4. Choose rarity and enchantment structure.
  5. Add or transfer enchantments.
  6. Use Radiant improvement only on lines worth keeping.
  7. Socket the intended gem and confirm interactions.
  8. Exalt last, after accepting the random and permanent parts of the result.

Using an Ember earlier does not make the base better. It only makes a poorly chosen project more expensive.

Farming and inventory advice

Current Together players report Embers from activities such as exploration, gathering, fishing, bounties, and other Realm rewards, with significant RNG. Because the family supports enchanting, respec, and endgame modification, do not sell unfamiliar Embers to solve a short-term currency shortage.

Keep them in a clearly labeled shared-realm storage plan or on the character responsible for crafting. Before consuming a rare type, tell co-op partners what item and operation it is reserved for.

Three mistakes to avoid

  • Following a 2024 Fallen Ember guide without checking the Together function.
  • Using Void on a finished item without understanding what is removed.
  • Exalting before the enchantments, gem, and facet are final.

Read Enchantments for the rolled layer, Respec for Iron Corpus costs, and Exalting for the final upgrade boundary.
