Current answer
You can reallocate attributes at the Iron Corpus in the Cerim Crucible Atrium. In the current Together build, one Fallen Ember refunds up to ten allocated attribute points. The structure must first be unlocked through early Crucible progression; current live-build guides and player confirmations place that unlock after completing the first five chambers and purchasing the related Seneschal project.
Older guides conflict because the cost and progression have changed during Early Access. Follow the Build label on this page, not a search snippet that says one Ember per single point.
Unlock the Iron Corpus
- Progress far enough to access the Cerim Crucible and its Atrium.
- Complete the opening Crucible chambers until the Seneschal's structure-upgrade choice becomes available.
- Unlock the respec-statue project. Current game text describes it as awakening a relic in the Atrium where a Cerim can reallocate attributes.
- Return to the Atrium and interact with the Iron Corpus.
If the option is missing, check Crucible progression before assuming the save is broken. The respec point is not an ordinary Sacrament vendor menu.
Prepare before paying
Respec is affordable enough to repair a plan, but a menu refund does not prove the replacement build works. Before spending:
- Put the target weapon in inventory and test its complete moveset even if requirements prevent full damage.
- Record its displayed requirements and scaling.
- Weigh the complete armor, weapon, shield, bow, quiver, and secondary setup.
- Use the Stats guide to decide the minimum Health, Stamina, and Focus needed for the combat loop.
- Check the complete loadout against the Equip Load guide before committing points.
- Count the points being moved so you bring enough Fallen Embers.
Refund damage attributes last in your written plan. That prevents a half-completed respec from leaving the character unable to use either the old or new weapon.
A safe reallocation order
- Meet the new weapon requirement.
- Restore the Health margin you need for current content.
- Restore the Stamina needed for the normal punish plus an exit.
- Set Equip Load for the exact intended movement class.
- Set Focus for the selected rune plan.
- Allocate remaining damage points into the weapon's actual scaling lane.
Then test in ordinary field combat before modifying the weapon. If the base loop fails, change the moveset or resource allocation before spending on enchantments and exalting.
Fallen Ember warning
The current localized item description says Fallen Embers can add or alter enchantments and are used in Cerim rebirth rituals. They therefore compete with other valuable item-modification decisions. The old claim that their only important use is entering the Crucible is no longer a safe current-build description.
The Embers guide separates the current Ember family and explains why a beginner should not sell or casually spend them.
When not to respec
- One weak item drop is not a reason; test the moveset first.
- A few imperfect utility points may be cheaper to keep until a larger planned change.
- If the problem is stamina discipline, Equip Load, or a bad rune choice, moving damage stats will not solve it.
- If two weapon plans share the same scaling, changing the weapon may require no respec at all.
This system is part of the current Early Access attribute model. Moon Studios has announced a progression redesign for 1.0, so unlock conditions and the purpose of respec will be checked again at launch.
