Patch boundary
Together Patch 1 adjusted ring enchantments to create clearer build identities and reduce extreme outliers. Hotfix 8 then reduced Thistle Ring and Snake Ring damage alongside the Thorns rework. Any build advertised around pre-Hotfix passive damage needs a new combat test.
Hotfix 8 also fixed rings appearing in Infusion and Enchantment screens. Treat rings as their own equipment category; do not assume a modification menu shown in an old video is still valid.
Choose by the bottleneck
A ring slot should repair or amplify the build's actual loop:
- Resource rings matter when stamina or Focus is the limiting step.
- Defensive rings matter when the build intentionally accepts contact or needs a larger mistake margin.
- Damage rings matter when the moveset already lands reliably and the resource loop is closed.
- Conditional rings matter only when the trigger occurs naturally in the planned encounter.
Equip the ring and test the character panel, stamina/Focus rhythm, and one representative fight. Do not compare names or rarity in isolation.
Stack with caution
Patch 1 explicitly targeted extreme scaling, and Hotfix 8 added diminishing returns to Thorns stacking. When multiple rings or enchantments appear to multiply the same mechanic, verify the final result in the current Build. Additive and multiplicative language, caps, and conditional uptime can change the real outcome.
The safest editorial rule is to publish the interaction the current game demonstrates, not a hand-calculated maximum built from old roll ranges.
Database boundary
Record presence does not guarantee a ring's drop location or availability in every Realm state. When a current acquisition route is verified, it will be added with separate evidence. For the surrounding system, read Enchantments and Facets; for the character plan, return to Builds.
